Unionized nurses in Newfoundland and Labrador will stop working overtime beginning May 20 because of a dispute over a final contract offer.Debbie Forward, president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Nurses’ Union, says the provincial government’s proposal would allow it to negotiate wages and incentives without the union’s input – an unprecedented market adjustment clause that Ms. Forward says would foster ill will at the workplace.
